hey guys,

 

just wondered if i could get some advice.

 

when an order is placed on our site, it sends 2 emails to myself and the customer instead of just 1 email.

 

many people are emailing us asking if they have ordered twice!

 

am i missing osmething completely stupid, or is this an underlying problem?

 

also, on a slightly more important note:

 

my only current payment method is paypal, when people pay for something they can return to the site.

 

if a customer does not return to the site straight away, it doesnt complete the order, basically meaning that order doesnt register/exist. i dont get any confirmation email or anything!

 

is there anything i can do to fix this?

your paypal issue has been discussed hundreds of times. Do a search as there are a few solutions posted already in the forums.

i had the same problem with getting double emails... heres how i fixed it:

 

in the admin section under configuration/email options make sure that E-mail transport method is sendmail and not SMTP.
