Hello all,

I have a little problem with the orders. My store is osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2. Customers in my store can order inactive stock, how to stop it ?

Please help,

There is a contribution which allows you to make stock/whole categories inactive in osC admin, which then do not display on your site at all - but are still there in admin. Sorry - don't know the name, you'll have to search for it.

Alternatively all you have to do, where you see the green and red icons next to the stock item, is to click the red icon and it should not then appear on your website.

Go to your Admin->Configuration->Stock and make sure the settings are:

Check stock level true

Subtract stock true

Allow Checkout false

That should do it.

also check your setting in the admin under store for Allow Checkout, if this is set to false then they should not be able to checkout if stock level is below set parameter.

Only works if you are using this feature.

Go to your Admin->Configuration->Stock and make sure the settings are:

"Check stock level - true

Subtract stock - true

Allow Checkout - false"

That should do it.

Settings are the same, but the problem remaining. Help...

You have a sample for which this still happens ? You checked if the stock level really goes back to 0 after valid orders have been made ?

I just noticed that your shop's URL always remains the same whether I go look at a product, add to cart, go to checkout or whatever. How did/do you accomplish this ? Might be something interfering with a normal working of the shopping cart ?!

I can't give you a sample, but the problem is:

Some stock is set to inactive, i'm sure. But some customers make orders with them. How this is happening, i don't know.
