ppunzi
I am new to OSCommerce and still in setting up mode but there is one thing I haven't seen so if it has been done so please point me in the right directionif it has. I would like to set up a second description field that would appear below the first description field on the product page and would just look like a second paragraph there. This would be useful when the existing description field is used for things like froogle feed (easypopulate) or for populating the meta tag description on the automated meta tag contributions - since you may want a shorter description (the first few lines) than the one appearing on a product page. I would guess a new field would need to be created in the database, then some code added to the product template page(s) and also in the admin products/category file. Thanks, Peter
Guest
Try the Category Fields contribution - it allows you to add new fields on a per category basis. If you want the new fields site wide, just use the Products Extra Fields contribution :D Matti
ppunzi
Thanks for the quick response. This looks like it will do the trick. All the best, Peter Try the Category Fields contribution - it allows you to add new fields on a per category basis.
