siavash Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 in attempt to reorganize the store i need to move products that are only in level 1 categories to 1 or 2 subcategories. what is the best, easiest and quickest method? in my mind thru the admin will be a mistake and a realy nightmare. especially when for example i have some 2000-3000 products in one category alone and we are talking about 7000-10000 lines. they are mixture of mainline and accessories, consumables and warantees. it is more user-friendly obviously to separate the mainline products from accessories etc. phpmyadmin seems logical tho' i believe i have to also delete/move/change the product-category relationship. I mean is it asiest and sensible to empty the database entirely and populate it again with easypopulate? what will happen to current orders, customer account history, notifications, product options and relationships etc? appreciate your advice.
