Buy without having to complete address fields etc.

Have installed OS and am well pleased with it so far technically. Trouble is I seem to have lost lots of sales and I can only put it down to the fact that people click away as soon as they realise they have to fill in a form. I know this because I have done it myself. I sell video clips and I understand the customer has to at least have a user name and password in order to download their purchase but their address etc. is not necessary and I wondered if there was a way to diferentiate between customers who need to complete their address i.e. tangible goods and ones that don't i.e. downloadable goods?

 

I know there must be a way to do it as there always is but being only a intermediate coder at best I wouldn't know exactly how to go about it.

 

If anyone else has this problem please post as it may speed up the process of a solution

 

Example: I add a video clip to my cart. I checkout and give a username and password. I only have to complete my address on the nochex checkout page if I don't already have a nochex account.

 

I add a tangible item to my cart. I checkout and don't have to complete the username and password fields, only the address fields for delivery. These are then passed to the nochex checkout as they are now.

 

Items are able to be identifiable as requiring username and password only if they are to be downloaded.

 

Any help greatly received.
