I was just wondering whether it is possibl,e after i have modified my copy of OSCommerce on one website, whether i can just download all the files into a zip and move it to another or would I need to install OSc on the other website and then just import my modified stylesheet etc?

you could d/l the files and export/import the dbase. Faster than redoing the installation. You will also need to change the configuration.php files to match the server details.

If after I move it, I change the name of the cart currently ending .org.uk/oscommerce to something like .org.uk/shop would that work or need things changed to make it work?

When moving a site the lonly two files you should need to edit for it to work are your

includes/configure.php

admin/includes/configure.php

Just change all the path info to reflect the new server and location.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.
