Header image not stretching width of page...

I have a header image that will be broken into multiple pieces, primarily 3 main pieces(left, middle, right). When I try copying the code in header.php for the logo that used to exist and pasting it into 2 other cells and changing images names the image will not stretch if I change resolutions, it merely sits there and does nothing but leave a lot of blank white space between itself and the left/right images. How can I get this center piece to stretch and fill the gap depending on the users resolution?

If this is not possible, then is there a way to run a fixed width shop justified to the left side of the page?

Thanks in advance!

Use a background colour for the header that matches the background of your logo and it will look fine.

Why you would want a fixed width site that aligns to the left I don't know. The whole idea of having a fixed width site is so that it is centred on all screen resolutions, not shoved to the left with loads of blank space on screen right.

If you want a fixed width site and to have it centred then you can use my Fixed Width Site With CSS contribution - link below.
