kukkuu
I have build up a shop, which is working fine except SSL. I get SSL from my ISP, so it should work with https://mycompany.com. However, they give me a new secured folder, which is located totally other server. Now they are telling me to move OsCommerce files under that. My question is that really so? I mean, which files I need to copy to this new secured directory to get webstore working? I really have even idea. I have modified my 'configure.php' files under /catalog/includes and /admin/includes. BTW: all my files are under /catalog, can I use that directory structure in secured directory. I really don't want to have my shop in two totally different servers, what I can do?
Jack_mcs
Some, less aware, hosts setup accounts where two directories are required. If they don't know how to apply a sym link to get around this, which it sounds like they don't, then you should consider changing hosts. The aggravation the two directories will cause you is just not worth it. Anyone got working OsCommerce in Nebula's servers in Finland? However I will try to ask from there also.
♥Vger
If the control panel your hosting company uses is called Plesk then they can't provide you with standard symbolic links - because they won't work on Plesk. Plesk is the cheapest (and just about the oldest) control panel available - which is why they use it I imagine. Vger
