CC transation data storage

My OSC install uses a thawte ssl and authorize.net payment gateway as the only acceptible payment method.

 

Do I at any time store the credit card info? I looked in the mysql db and I don't see any numbers stored. But does this info get stored temporarly on our server as it passes to authorize.net? Or does it just go directly to authorize.net and never to our server?

I have searched the forums but have not seen this question posed quite the way we have things set up.

 

Basically I never want to store the CC data myself, even if it is encrypted.
