aatinka
Actually, it's not very complicated, cause it's on the same server, so I will not have to move MySQL. I will use same database, same username etc. I'm just going to move from a test-domain to working domain, and are hoping to be able to do this with least effort :P Very early in my installation, I actually managed to delete all the files on the server  , but when I then copied the files I have on my disc (with the "Install" directory), the intallation started all over... And all changes I had made was ok. Is this the right way to do it? What about all the links all over my shop? OK, I can find them manually, but would prefer if it was done automatically. I have tried to find something regarding this in forums and other documentation, but can't find anything on the subject at all. Thanks for any help! Guest
You just need to configure your store for the new address/location - the settings are in /includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php - your old settings should be self explanatory. Edit the files in a plain text editor (eg. notepad) and upload the files to your new installation. Matti
aatinka
Thanks! That was easier than I feared :-) How about installing a SSL certificate? Is that just as easy after first install?
♥Vger
On a shared server your site will need its own dedicated IP address before you can install a full ssl certificate. Many hosts will buy and install the cert for you - which might cost you more but save you a lot of hassle. Once the cert is installed correctly then you just have to edit the two configure.php files again. Vger
