beauregard
I have recently installed osCommerce on my site and it works fine most of the time. SOMETIMES, i get this error; Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'shopp3rs_shopp3r@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/shopp3rs/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! Again, this happens SOMETIMES, I have changed localhost to 127.0.0.1 in catalog\includes\configure.php but it does not solve it. I have done research on the forums where this seems to be a pretty common problem but nobody agrees on what causes it and how to solve it. What should I do ? Thanks everyone in advance

beauregard
I know that this server is sometimes overloaded, any chance it could be something else ? Thanks for your time, it is very appreciated I've just been told by my hosting provider that they transferred me to another server without telling me, I have to use the "new server adress" in place of "localhost", After changing the configure.php file, it still does not work, is there another file I need to change ? ♥Vger
Why not try changing hosts instead? I find it very bad practice that a host moves your site without even telling you they've done it. Don't forget that there are two configure.php files. Vger

Vger I corrected the 2 configure files, now my site is back online but is not connecting to the stylesheet for some reason. Not sure what to do now. I've had it with those bums, I'm now actively looking for a new host My new host will have to be in my time zone. Can you suggest one on the east coast ?
