Can someone help me remove Manufacturer info from product listing

I'm trying to remove the manufacture info from the product_listing.php when displayed in the index, but I'm having a very difficult time figuring out how to do so. Here is what my page currently looks like:

admin panel, under configuration -> product listing. set the respective field to "false"
