Guest Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Hi, I've just installed osCommerce and get "Internal Server Error" is I try to open catalog or admin. When I remove the .htaccess from catalog, it will work without the images from the language dirs. When I remove the .htaccess from includes, the images work. Same story ofcourse with the admin dir. I've read a lot of threads concerning this problem but can't seem to find a clear solution. Is there a way to make the htaccess files work without changing the apache.conf? Is removing the .htaccess from catalog a security risk? If I change the path to the languages (and move them..), leave the .htaccess, will the include files still work?
lerningkurv Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 you will need to work with httpd.conf and the .htaccess file in the directories involved try this link it will help its not to hard :) there are areas of osc you will want to protect from snooping. admin being one, includes is another. http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/howto/htaccess.html
