How to add images to different folders??

I notice on the basic install of osc that images are put into different sub-directories within the images folder. When adding images to products you are not given an option of which folder to put the image in, everything just goes in the the images directory.

I would like to put images for products within each category into their own folder, like the basic osc install. Can any one please explain how this is done? It seems a minor thing but I cannot find a solution anywhere.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I have read the documentation on this but, to a newbie, it's not particularly clear about changing \ to /.

The info refers to:

C:oscommercecatalogimagesdvdmovie.jpg

and change to:

C:oscommercecatalogimagesdvd/movie.jpg

I get:

C:oscommerce\catalog\images\dvd\movie.jpg

Chamging to:

C:oscommerce\catalog\images\dvd/movie.jpg

A lot more \ and, if I take them out like the info shows, or leave it as above , it still uploads a file into images directory and disregards anything I've put in the folder I want. I think I'm begining to confuse myself now :)

It obviously possible to do but, I don't seem to understand the instructions so I'm looking for some help.

I've just realised that enough If I mange to do this, it's fairly irrelevant as I'll be adding all my product info via the Easy Populate contribution. As I'll be editing the file from easy Populate in Excel then I'll just add an extra column with the folder name I want them merge the contents of cells to get foldername/filename.jpg. As long as I've already uploaded all my pics to the relevant folder on my site then, this should work fine.

Still, if anybody can explain where I'm going wrong on my above posts, I'd still appreciate it.
