Newbie Question

Currently I have a domain that I am using and I am working on my site but want to move my site to a new domain

 

will everything just transfer to it like the images and what not

 

im thinking it would but i just want to make sure of this because i dont want to build the site from this domain then when i purchase a new domain to move it to be having to redo everything im doing now

Its easy to move the site to a new domain. Quite easy infact.

 

Case 1: Will you be transfering to a new host too?

 

Case 2: Or you just want to change the domain name laters?

 

If first is the case, you'll need to edit just 2 files:

 

1. your_root_folder/includes/configure.php

2. your_root_folder/admin/includes/configure.php

 

If second is the case, you'll have to transfer all the files, edit the above 2 configure files, and (by using PHPmyAdmin) transfer the database too.
