Question about Product Attributes

I have read the Knowledge Base and such, but I want to make sure I have a good understanding of this section. Please correct me if I am wrong....

One of the products I will be selling is gel candles. Some of which (one drop shipper) come in 262 scents. So, I need to set up a drop down box for each appropriate candle a list of those 262 scents for them to choose from.

So, my first step would be in catalog -> Product Attributes....

Option Name: Fragrance click 'insert'

2nd step would be in Option Values -

Select the Option Name of Frangrance from the drop down list.

Then, for Option Value it would be: Cherry Blossom, click 'insert'.

Apple Blossom, click 'insert'.

Continue all the way down my scents list.

Then, at the bottom of the Product Attributes page.....

Select my product from the drop down list - Select the Option Name: Fragrances - and Select the Option Value....

But wait, if I select Option Value there, it only gives me one value, Cherry Blossom for example?

Basically, what I want is this: When a customer views the details of a product and wants to buy it, they need to view the drop down list of scents (or sizes or whatever), select the one they want and then click "buy now".

And alternative - since the list of scents is so long and will be doing this on roughly 30+ products, can I not do a <form> in the product description that creates a drop down box of these scent options and just copy/paste that form for each product in question? Would that work?

FYI - there is no price adjustment for these scents, same price regardless of choice.

Thanks in advance.

The attribute system is unwieldy at best but if you look in the contribution section there are a couple that make it easer to admin them.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here

BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

Thanks - I looked in contributions - but as far as I can tell there is nothing that is labeled to fit this basic need. I don't have hours to look through there either.
