Remove "New Products for..." when using BTS

I'm going crazy looking for this. Will someone please point me to the file that contains the code to turn off the New Products for the month when using BTS? If it is somewhere obvious like index.php, may I get guidance to the snippet that controls this (I swear I have done text searches through every likely file)?

 

Found plenty of forum references when not using BTS, and I've scoured the code over and over again, but I am clearly missing something.

Never could figure out where it was being called from, but I finally got the "new products for ..." box to go away by commenting out the code in the new_products.php file.
