Tegwin Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 I am having a number of problems trying to install the oscommerce. Let me explain. I am using Windows platform and IIS. I have created a database in MySQL. Also created a Virtual Directory in IIS called PHPShop which is pointing to c:\inetpub\wwwroot\phpstore In my browser I go to http://localhost/phpshop/catalog/install/index.php The wizard comes up and asks me to install. I click continue . I select the details for the DB. which are database name : localhost user name : root Password : ****** database name (as the one I created in MySQL which is phpstore) When I click contiune it brings up another screen which looks like only half the screen has been compeleted it says New Installation and Database Import AND THATS IT !!!! Nothing else happens. Any ideas. I have tried this several times and still does not work.

Tegwin Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 Ok I have figured this out. I have decided to use PHP 4.1 instead as I cannot figure out PHP5.x yet.
