Compare your (catalog)/includes/languages/dutch.php against english.php for missing defines in the first one.

I mean the titles on the pages, like my account, privacy, my shopping cart etc. etc. These defines are in different language files, in the english as well as the dutch files. However they only show up in one the english side and not on the dutch side Denice

However they only show up in one the english side and not on the dutch side Denice Have you tried to reinstall the Dutch language and/or check if the path references are still okay for you Dutch language directories (assuming you have checked that all files are available for the Dutch language) ?!
