Hello all,

Ok, I am currently working on this site, so please keep that in mind if you are just looking to give me opinions. This is sort of a support post and not so much of a "look at my site" kind of post. Opinions are welcome though.

I have been heavily focusing on the index page of this site and plan to expand into the rest as soon as I have completed my job with the index. Unfrtunately, I have run into a brick wall as one might say and I could use some help.

The link to what I have so far is below, but first let me alert you to my problem. When you click on the link be sure to click on the "my account", "view cart", and "checkout" buttons and also the search bar (the one labeled "product search". You'll notice that each one of those open up a new page, which is what I want. Then try searching with the manufacturers and you'll notice that the results get dropped into the same inex page and a new page is not loaded. There's where my problem lies. The content that i actually want on the "index" page is still there, so the new manufacturers results are kind of just thrown in there below it.

Check it out : MyCart

I would like to be able to hide my original content once any new results are shown on the index page or have the results shown on a new page. If anyone has an idea or solution PLEASE share!

Thank you,

Dave

I can't help you a bit with the problems you inquired about in your post.

I just wanted to tell you what I think of your site.

The landing page has a logo called Lifewell and a very artsy, serene nature-like-scene load. No mention of what you sell. So, I'm in the dark, and I'm thinking...ummm....I guess this is one of those Live Well and Be Healthy websites. Maybe they're selling herbal remedies and whatnot.

Imagine how shocked I was when I clicked on Home and discovered that you sell...computer accessories! Honestly, I was very shocked.

I love the gifs you're using to represent your categories; very cute and colorful. But, if catalog is meant to be your landing page...I think you need to do something about that photo and scream about what it is your website sells or specializes in. I really was shocked to see what you do sell. Would never have guessed it.

And God bless you for having a site that doesn't require scrolling from left to right to see it all fit on the screen. So many people are SO guilty of that anymore.

:D He just shows the stock osC catalog for now and I am sure, looking at the categories, the site will be about health and thelike later on :P

I won't comment on your remarks as I have no idea what you are aiming at but of the little there is to see I must see I like the header graphic and overall color but I find the menu a disaster. From bottom to top and then three levels doesn't feel good to me.

I want to thank you guys (and girls) for replying to my post.

It turns out that it took so long for them to put up my post that i had already figured out the problem that i was decribing (so the page or link i gave you will no longer be the "main page")... Basically, my main page will be here "My Cart" and the manufaturer inquiry will now appear the way i want. When you try looking by manufacturer it utilizes the blank page you were looking at before to fill in its results. Does that make sense to everyone?

Wheeloftime, your reply to Puggybelle was correct in that i still have a bunch of the original products on there while i am in development. Thank you for your opinion on the menu. I'm still working on the look and functionality of the site before i fully implement it, so that part could possly change. I would like to hear a solution from you on how you would rather see the menu displayed or a way to possibly lessen the "disaster" factor.

Thanks,

Dave

Nearly none of the links on your site work for me in FF 1.5.

Yes, those 2 links are functional.

Any particular reason you're using a 3rd party search? I'm curious.
