bgbs Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 I dont know how to explain this, this happened twice already. On my site, sometimes my top level menu is just gone. I can view my menu in the admin panel, as if everything is fine. But when I go to homepage and look at the menu it shows me the menu from some other site, and when I click on the categories it just takes me to that other sites. I had that happen twice already and on both of those times, different site categories appeared. The way I get rid of those categories, is when I go to my admin panel and create a new category, then everything gets back to normal. My menu from the site reappears. I wonder if such phenomena has occured in somoeone elses site?
Guest Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Your site is sharing the cache directory on your server - create a writable directory within your own space and in admin>>configuration>>cache change the path.... or turn off cache. Matti
Guest Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 When defining the path should it be... /foldername /foldername/ www.domainname.com/foldername/ http://www.domainname.com/foldername/ I tried all and have yet to get anything written to this folder. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Kevin
