Why no currency infobox at checkout???

I trade from the UK but most of my customers are in the US. I have UK/US/EUR as currencies and they seem to work i.e. switching to US currency on a product page will refresh the page with US values, great. Now when the customer gets to the checkout_shipping.php and checkout_confirmation.php the values are in UK pounds and there's no means to convert them. Is it me or am I missing something, I would have thought that customers would like to see the totals of their cart in their own currency?

I had a look at my column_right.php (where my currency lives) and saw this:

if (substr(basename($PHP_SELF), 0, 8) != 'checkout') {

include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'currencies.php');

}

So it seems that it's a feature of OSC!

Any help just to clear my girlie brain would be appriciated!!

Sarah.

I just tried deleting the if conditional around those lines and it works but if you change currencies in Order Confirmation you lose the CC information, it flips you back one page and you have to re-enter the CC info.

I'm a single currency kinda guy so I never played with that before.

If you want to try just delete

if (substr(basename($PHP_SELF), 0, 8) != 'checkout') {

and the next curly bracket.

}

Yep, removing the conditional was going to be my next move.

What do you mean by CC? I'm assuming you mean credit card, but there's no CC information on the order_confirmation.php, that's collected by Paypal.!?

I made my test on a test setup using the stock CC module.

I can't be sure what will happen with PayPal if you make the change, try it and find out. Make sure you don't lose any money. ;)
