fayeff Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 I made a new site www.fayescollection.com as an addon domail under www.favorart.com I tested fayescollection.com at local, it worked great, but once I upload to the server, it shows all kinds of problems. I upload the documents to / favorart/ public_html / fayescollection / ,what should I do to change the configure.php? these are the codes I changed: include/configure.php // Define the webserver and path parameters // * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical) // * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL) define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.fayescollection.com'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('HTTPS_SERVER', ''); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure? define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.fayescollection.com'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', ''); define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', ''); define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', 'fayescollection/'); define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', ''); define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', '/images/'); define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . AlanR Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 If the domain is pointed to your new subdirectory the catalog config should look like this: define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.fayescollection.com'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('HTTPS_SERVER', ''); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure? define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.fayescollection.com'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '/'); define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/'); define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/'); The only real difference between your original store and the new one should be the FS Path: define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/favorart/public_html/fayescollection/'); which looks correct. It's just like you're doing an install on a fresh server account in the root folder because the nameserver points to the fayescollection directory. Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
AlanR Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 You goofed on this line: define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', '/images/'); should be: define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/'); No leading slash. Remember that this install looks almost exactly like your last one. The outside world has no clue that this install lives in a subdirectory of the first. So the WS lines are just like any other install. Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
fayeff Posted December 6, 2005 Author Posted December 6, 2005 1000 thanks, Alan! Now the index page can show up, but I just find the format is changed. and when I click on product name, it says"IParse error: parse error, unexpected $, expecting ']' in /home/favorart/public_html/fayescollection/includes/sts_product_info.php on line 85" . I am using STS 3.0beta, could you please help me one more time? Btw, how can I import the data in local database? I checked PHPadmin, it only has export option. Thanks!! Faye
