Installation of Pricing per category

I am interested in the pricing per category section of this contribution. I can't seem to figure out if I need to install the whole contribution or just the part for the categories. I don't need Separate pricing per customer just want a price break when someone orders 2 items from the same category.

 

I need to get my online store back up and running but I can't remember how I got this working the first time and now I can get it running.

I assume you are talking about the Quantity Price Break for SPPC contribution. No, you don't need SPPC, but you do need to install the regular Quantity Price Break contribution to be able to use the price per category mod that is described in the Quantity Price Break for SPPC contribution. There is a mistake in there, see this post for a fix.

So I'm sure I understand this so it will stop blowing up in my face I need to install the Quantity Price Break Per Product contribution fully then make the changes in "price_break_per_category_instr" I did try that but it kicked up a parse error so I'm starting over again to try to get this working. When I went to the fix that you provided I looked for the original coding that needed to be changed but didn't find it. Is that in the quantity break contribution or the quantity break SPPC? I think I'm a little confused and three days of starting over is getting to me.
