Paypal IPN - Unencrypted question

I have manually used the paypal provided shopping cart system for over a year now, (using it's own secure processing), now i'm transferring to oscommerce, and have installed Paypal IPN for 2.2. At the last paypal page, where you click 'continue' for it to take you to the success page, it says that it is going unencrypted, and can be read by 3rd parties.

 

This is going to obviously stop customers in their tracks. What have i missed? I assume the only information it is sending is a message back to the cart saying, "yes, paid!". How can I stop the warning?
