Hello,

I'm not sure this is a right place for my post but I'll try anyway. I'm looking for an option to place a Christmas theme into the header of my store pages without changing anything else. Is there any particular contribution I may try or, if not, how is this can be accomplished?

I'll appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS y'all!!!

edit includes/header.php

Would you mind to explain a little bit in depth what exactly should I change in includes/header and is there any available theme to put in header or I should look for pictures myself?

Thanks a lot.

sorry :)

before doing any editing - make sure you backup header.php! (save a copy of header.php to your desktop) that way if you mess something else, all you have to do is re-apply it and your shop will be fixed.

right beneath:

  if ($messageStack->size('header') > 0) {
echo $messageStack->output('header');
 }

?>

add:

<table><tr><td width="100%"><img src="your image here.jpg"></td></tr></table>

and your image here.jpg would be the name of the graphic you are using (santa claus, a fancy merry christmas, whatever...)

offhand i do not know of any themes, i make all of my own stuff :)

Thanks a lot. I'll try it tomorrow morning and let you know if it works.

to clarify: your image here.jpg should be an image file that you have uploaded to your server.

not sure if i made sense initially or not :)

There was sometime ago a contrib to be found in the contrib section called "falling snow". It places falling snowflakes on the screen - looks pretty much like winter/xmas :-).

But nowadays I cant find it anymore.

Its a javascript section you have to add in the header.php.

Can anyone tell me please what happened to this contrib ?!

Thank

Regards

Andreas

I downloaded "falling snowflakes" effect from http://www.maxxblade.co.uk/fall/index.php. It's beutiful. Although, I'm still looking for a Christmas image to my header.php. I made my own, but I'm not completely satisfied with how it looks. Any suggestions where can I find a beutiful Christmas image or banner?

Thanks.
