Recommended Posts

Hi, I have searched but havent been able to find the answer I am looking for.

On the main page there is an icon to the right of the.........

..."Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in? Or would you prefer to create an account" text.

How do I remove this.

Also, on the "category" pages theres an icon to the right of....

...."Let's See What We Have Here" text.

How do I remove this.

Sorry if this seems really basic, I`m learning!

Thank you for any advice.

Hi,

Find these lines in catalog/index.php:

		  <tr>
		<td class="pageHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td>
		<td class="pageHeading" align="right"><?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $category['categories_image'], $category['categories_name'], HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td>
	  </tr>

and replace it with

		  <tr>
		<td class="pageHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td>
	  </tr>

That should get rid of the image on both pages.

Hi, I have taken ebbe`s advice but the images are still present on both pages.

Any other suggestions?

Cheers

Did you hit the Refresh button? Did you remember to upload the changed file? Both those little things have snagged me from time to time.

If you've removed or (as I did) commented them out of you catalog/*.php files, then they've got to be gone.

I went thru and commented out all those images, which was a bit of a bother having to do it one file at a time. I wish there were a feature to turn them off, or to replace them with an alternate set. (I suppose another sorta drastic option would be to rename a transparent gif file numerous times to all the names involved.)

If you are sure that you have uploaded the changes try using ctrl F5 as that will give you a forced refresh on the page
