How to add Google Analytics to all pages

Does anyone have the new google analytics code installed to OSC? It needs to go between the <head></head> tags of every page, but how do you insert it so that it's dynamically added to every page's head tag? The header.php includes file starts after the </head> tag, so which page would we add the javascript to in order go get it between the <head> tags?

Thanks!

Although it says it must be installed between the <head> tag this is not true.

I have installed it in the header.php and it google picks it up just fine.

It may take 24 hours before it sees your code but it does work, the stats on google match those of my existing stats program.

Should save people some time. Also if you are using SSH download the google analytics contribution and use their IF SSH code. This will stop the "Do you wish to load unsecure content" warning in IE which may be a turn off to customers.

Hope that helps :)

If you have Header Tags installed, which you should, then see my tip in tips and tricks for a way to quickly add it to all pages.
