Do you happen to use America Online?

There is some sort of issue with AOL that is resolved

by changing some settings in your Configuration.

If you go to your Admin Control Panel under

Configuration and Sessions, these settings should

be set to FALSE:

Force Cookie Use

Check SSL Session ID

Check User Agent ID

Check IP Address

Without changing those settings, AOL users will

continue getting the log in screen.

I login first

I click on a number of items and 'add to cart' then I click 'check out' and it just goes right back to the login screen.

What gives?

Hi,

I was having this problem from a work computer and there was some discussion here that it was cookie related - have you tested the issue from a PC at a totally different location?

It is most likely your cookie path in your includes/configure.php file I would post the file here (minus the database username and password) and somebody may be able to see what is wrong.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here

BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

I just set up an account and tested it. I added something to my cart, set up an account, and

then it said my cart is empty.

When I added an item again, both items were in the cart. I clicked "checkout" and got the

login screen, just as you had said.

Did you check those 4 items to make sure they are set to "false"?

In an earlier post, I wrote:

I had the same problem, but it was fixed when I

changed all of these to FALSE.

Thanks ozcsys for that. I had a similar problem and found that I'd missed the www. on my SSL cookie path. all seems fine now, at the moment anyway :)

My setting for "Recreate Session" is set to "TRUE". Do you want to try changing yours

to see if that is the problem?

Sherry,

Still not letting me check out. I sign in, add items to my cart and when I click check out it again ask me for my e-mail and password, Then it says my cart is empty.

Have you installed any contributions?

The only things that I know to check are the

ones that I mentioned. I'm sorry.

Try posting your config file here, as ozcsys

suggested (but blank out your ID and

Password).
