netwerkjim
Hi, I just did a search to see if I could find some answers as to how I setup my merchant account so that I can accept credit cards. I was not able to find any answers, so I am posting this new. I am sorry if there is the same info somewhere else I just couldn't find what I needed. I have setup a new merchant account with card services and they gave me a bunch of info related to doing the setup but I don't have a clue as to how to do this. can someone explain in simple terms how I go about installing the info so that I can start taking credit cards? Guest
What gateway are they using? LinkPoint, Authorize.Net, etc. Have you checked the contribution area? That's where I found the module that finally worked with Authorize.Net
netwerkjim
I'm real green at doing this stuff, the person who was setting my website up for me has been taking for ever so I have had to try and figure out some of this myself. So I am sorry but I don't know what you mean when you refer to the contribution area? I do have in my admin modules an Authorize.net section. what do I do here to install the merchant account? I will be using Cardservices International to handle my transactions. Does this help. Thanks, Jim O'Fallin
♥Vger
Look at the link at the top of this page which says "Community" and in the drop-down it has a link to the Contributions section. I've never heard of a module for Card Services International. Vger

I've never heard of a module for Card Services International. Vger i'm pretty green myself and i'm trying to get the authorize.net payment module that comes installed with osC working. - i got my merchant account set up - i got my authorize.net account set up - i got the transaction key - i get "There has been an error processing your credit card. Please try again." constantly - i scoured the forums for answers but the answers are either too vague or way over my head here's the tip of the ? iceburg - what exactly are the steps to get the authorize.net module working? - do you have to install one of the contributions to get it working or will the stock authorize.net module work when it's set up properly? - what if anything needs to be set up on the authorize.net side? - does there need to be specific URLs entered in the Response/Receipt URLs section of authorize.net? there's probably lots more that i'm forgetting but if i could get answers for these i think i'd be off to a good start. any help is greatly appreciated. netwerkjim
Look at the link at the top of this page which says "Community" and in the drop-down it has a link to the Contributions section. I've never heard of a module for Card Services International. Vger Hi, I have downloaded a LinkPoint API contribution and downloaded my PEM file and changed it from 000000.pem to my user account number, and then uploaded it with an FTP client. I then went to our OSCommerce website admin and made the changes at catalog/includes/modules/payment/LinkPoint Credit Card. Enable Linkpoint module = TRUE, LinkPoint authorization mode = Pre-authorization, Linkpoint login = xxxxxx, LinkPoint server = secure.linkpt.net, LinkPoint email = [email protected], Payment Zone = None, Set Order Status = Pending, Sort order of display = 1, LinkPoint mode = Live. When I try to make a purchase with a credit card, I get a MS Window's Can't Find Server white screen at the URL address http://www.xxxxxx.com/catalog/checkout_process.php. Can someone tell me why this is happening and in simple step by step terms, explain to me how to fix this? Thanks Jim O
