digital-warfare
Hello, I don't know if this has been posted before but, I'm stuck. When installing osCommerce for the first time I will enter my database details, the server, DB user, password, and DB name. When I click continue it will go to the next page but it will only load the page header and will do nothing else. Am I doing something wrong? If I am what do I do?? :'(
Guest
Have you set up your database? If not, that may be the cause.
digital-warfare
Have you set up your database? If not, that may be the cause. Yes I've set it up, I've gone through the instructions, but cannot get any further then this. I'm guessing from the instructions that the next page will display almost instantly. ♥Vger
Go to the top of the forum homepage, and click on the 'Latest News' link - which will take you to a new version of osCommerce MS2. This new version contains most (if not all) of the fixes to problems such as you are experiencing. It's most likely a problem with the version of PHP or MySQL your site is using, and this should be dealt with. If not then it may be a Register Globals issue - and you should check with your host to see if Register Globals is set to 'off' in php.ini. If it is then you need to install the Register Globals Patch. Vger
scottearnest
I too am experiencing the same problem. I just downloaded the latest version today. Any other ideas? Another post mentioned MySQL Extensions, but I was not able to figure out what they did. Any help would be much appreciated.
digital-warfare
Is your site live? If not that could be causing the problems, well thats what I was told by by hosting.
scottearnest
I am trying to get it going on my development box, locally (e.g. not live).
scottearnest
Looks like PHP 5 was my problem. Switching to PHP 4 solved it. Now on to other hurdles...
