Problem with Tax Zones/Classes/Rates

LotusE

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've got a problem with the setup of my Tax Zones/Classes and rates. I've made three Tax Zones in Oscommerce:

1. European Union - Without the Netherlands

2. The Netherlands

3. Non- European Union

I made this division, so I would be able to set my shipping costs for each zone seperately. Because the shipping cost for the Netherlands are lower than for example the shipping costs to another country in the EU

I have two Tax classes defined:

1. Goods that are subject to 6% Tax

2. Goods that are subject to 19% Tax

And I have 6 tax rates defined, namely:

1. EU-without Netherlands 6%

2. EU-without Netherlands 19%

3. The Netherlands 6%

4. The Netherlands 19%

5. Non-EU 6%

6. Non-EU 19%

The numbers are also the priority I've given to the taxes. Now, apparently, when I mark an article to be subject to 19% vat, the vat is calculated three times. Probably because of the above, even though the tax rates are set on a zone-level (and my store is configured to be in the Netherlands), apparently, in Oscommerce the tax is calculated three times. How can I best solve this and what is the logic behind this?

Thanks for your reply.

Cheers

Steve
