Table prefix ignored ??

Hello,

I know the database setting in both configure.php's are being used, because if I change them then I get conection failed messages.

This is what the amin screen give, publi or admin:

1146 - Table 'mysite.configuration' doesn't exist
select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration
[TEP STOP]

The table that does exist is oscx_configuration and the prefix is in both places:

$ grep -i prefix includes/configure.php admin/includes/configure.php

includes/configure.php: define('DB_TABLE_PREFIX', 'oscx_');

admin/includes/configure.php: define('DB_TABLE_PREFIX', 'oscx_');

$

So

a) why wouldit be ignoring it (IE is it wrong??)

B) how do I get it to recognise and use the Prefix setting?

This is OSCommerce from oscommerce-2.2ms2-051113.tgz

TIA!

:-" Anyone else having this? Any ideas?

Crickets :-" Not much activity here eh? Anyone have any idea how to get it to use the table prefixs?

Itd be very helpful, otherwise we'll have to go with an Ecommerce solution that works

OK, how about a reeeeeeaaaaal simple question :thumbsup: (yes or no would be fine):

Does the OSCommerce from oscommerce-2.2ms2-051113.tgz have tabel prefix support?

If "yes" then where/how do you configure its use or what url describes the table_prefix feature's use?

Anyone? it'd be most appreciated B)

Not without hacking a bunch of ugly PHP code:

Just curious, did you upload/transfer the oscommerce.sql during installation without any errors or disruptions?

More information, such as the server type you're using, the MySQL version, PHP, etc. and maybe even a link to the site in question, would be more helpful in solving your problem than links back to the 4 posts you have already left.
