The e-commerce.

using EasyPopulate with Administration Access 2.11

Recommended Posts

I installed and was using Easy Populate. Then I added the Admin Access 2.11 contribution (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1359) Now, neither the EasyPopulate link nor the page itself are accessible.

I've gone into the admin/includes/boxes/catalog.php file to add a new line to use the box links created using the function based on Admin Access. I also defined a new EasyPopulate link in admin/filenames.php and label definition in admin/includes/english.php

All this has not brought back the Easy Populate link through the admin/catalog box, and browsing directly to easypopulate.php brings up a forbiden page.

Please help.

I'm adding this reply to this long past post, simply to help anyone else like me doing a Total install and Mod installation from scratch.

I knew from previous Pre-built installs that Easy Pop worked with an Admin based system, yet I too was getting the Forbidden error listed above.

Basically - you need to give the 'Admin' person logged in, permission to USE Easy Populate. Go to your Admin area, then the Administration>File Access>Catalog section. You will likley now see a Drop Down menu on your right, containing file names you can Add to this section, Easypopulate will be one of them.

Save that over, store files, and try Easy Populate - lets you in now! :)
