I have followed the quick install link and i have it setup via www.mydomian.com.au

Now to try install this via www.mydomain.com.au/install i get Not Found

The requested URL /mydomain.com.au/install was not found on this server. i have replace my real name domain and inserted just for this question with mydomain.

I now sure if i do this via Internet explorer or what, that is all i tried where am i going wrong trying to install osCommerce 2.2

Quick guide is here http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=162231

5. Then go to http://www.yourdomain.com/install and begin the install procedure. Your DB Server will probably be 'localhost', your db user name and password (for mysql access) will have been provided to you by your web hosting company. The name of the database you already know - because you just set it up. Do not enable SSL, elect to store sessions in the database and not files (untick the box), and do not enable persistent connections.

The guide no 5 is what i am trying to do ?? l guess it something to do with mysql acess this is where i not to sure what i should be trying to type in to gain access.

If some kind person could help me out that would be great as i am a newbie to all this.

Try www.mydomain.com.au/catalog/install

or just www.mydomain.com.au/catalog

But I'm not sure what you mean by the "quick install link". If it's from some hosting company don't bother, they probably don't have the most recent version. Download a copy from: http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/downloads . It's the most recent version (Nov. 13, 05)

Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux

Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
