What is wrong?

I have:

in Tax Zones:

Zone Name: Pennsylvania

in Tax Classes:

Tax Class Title: Taxable Goods

in Tax Rates:

Priority: 0

Tax Class: Taxable Goods

Zone: Pennsylvania

Tax Rate: 6%

in Order Total Module:

Shipping: 2

Sub-Total: 1

Tax: 3

Total: 4

in my test account, for state I typed: Pennsylvania

in my address is displayed:

Sometown, PA 18104

United States

in the Product info:

Tax Class: Taxable Goods

Products Price (Net): 7.9900

Products Price (Gross): 8.4694

when I check out it displays:

Sub-Total: $7.99

United States Postal Service (1 x 0.2lbs) (First-Class Mail): $1.58

Total: $9.57

That is strange, all of your settings look right. I just have to suggestions to look at:

Do you have an entry like this in Locations/Taxes>Zones (not Tax Zones):

United States ..... Pennsylvania .... PA

I am not sure this would make the difference, but if understand things correctly, this is where osc looks to cross reference the abbreviations (i.e. PA <--> Pennsylvania).

The other one is too obvious, but you didn't mention it so I will:

In Modules>Order Total>Tax, is Display Tax set to True?

If you have both of these bases covered and it isn't working, I am as puzzled as you are.

Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database.

Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1.

Thank you for your reply GraphicsGuy.

I figured it out. When I made the Tax Zone, I edited the default one changing it to Pennsylvania. Now I deleted that one and remade a fresh Pennsylvania one. It works now.
