millerg Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Hi, I have a small we hosting business that provides web sites to small businesses throught an online web site builder. Recently I had a customer that wanted a more elaborate online store so I put him on osCommerce. This was my first exposure to osc and I must say WOW, this is amazing. I would like to expand my offering to include a "pimped" osc package. I don't plan on a re-branding the package, infact I want to call it osCommerce pimped by MillerNET, and would certainly donate a portion of the hosting revenue to osc. Is there anyplace where I can fine info on building a installable version with a few select contributions added? Right now I'm thinking that I just have to start from the unzipped installation, make the changes to the files and edit the database creation section to include tables & changes to support the contributions. Am I missing anything? Again, I don't plan on building another CRE-Loaded and I don't fee it is right to just rebrand a a derivative product either. Also, has anyone ever modified the plesk installation of osc? Thanks, Greg
millerg Posted November 19, 2005 Author Posted November 19, 2005 Not even a negative comment...? Should I post my results?
