PayPal Error all of a sudden

Hi Everyone,

 

I hope someone can tell me what may have happened. I have had my store online for a number of years now and although I am using the 2.1 verision the PayPal module has always worked, until recently. I noticed the PayPal orders had weened off for some reason and when checking out the situation, I get the following error message when confirming my error using the PayPal radio button:

 

Error Detected

The seller accepts encrypted website payments only. You cannot pay the seller through un-encrypted buttons. Please contact your seller for more details.

 

Does anyone have any idea what stopped this from functioning all os a sudden?

In your paypal profile settings you have set in receive payment preferences that the payment to be received from encypted site only where as you are not using the payment button that are generated in an encrypted way so you need to change the payment receive settings in your paypal profile.

OMG.......I used the encrypt option for something completely different on my site not realizing it would impact the catalog.
