QTPro + Product Attributes - Option Type Feature = trouble

i installed a fresh osCommerce Shop and copied the QTPro files into it, so QTPro is running without any problems. Currently i am trying to add the "Product Attributes - Option Type Feature" contribution, which allows me to define my own product attributes and their types (dropdown, textbox, radiobutton, etc). I could manually merge all files except product_info.php, because QTPro removed a part that the Option Type Feature contribution wants to have updated. The QTPro manual tells me to write my own class derived from pad_base.php, which is quite complicated. has anybody else written such a class yet or knows an easy workaround?
