New order. Where did it go?

My second sale from my site www.hidlook.com did not show up under orders.

I recieved a paypal payment from customer x. Logged into my stores admin panel and could see that customer x did create an account, but there was no order. I had to call customer x and ask him what he ordered since the paypal paid reciept didnt have any of the order info. I asked him what he did and he said he created an account and went through the checkout steps and paid via paypal. I still dont know why his order did not show up in my orders. Anyone know why it didnt register after he made the paypal payment? And how can I prevent it from happening again?

an easy fix for this is to include some language on the payment method page to make sure the customer returns to the site to complete the order, I know this is famous with paypal. I have had this problem, but since including the instructions to return and then also making sure the autoreturn page is set at paypal then all seems to go fine. Search the forums with the search tool for "paypal orders" and you will get plenty of info. it looks prettyt bad to have to contact the customer, they don't like it, looks unprofessional. I hate doing it! good luck!
