dazednconfused
I have been familiar with osCommerce for a very long time, and am finally ready to launch a real live store that generates money. i installed the newest version of osCommerce and noticed that it has a few changes. There is a new Credit Card feature in the payment module. what does this actually do? who does it connect to? I have a running jewelry business and i have a credit card terminal in my store. if i can eliminate the cost of opening up a online merchant account i will, but i have gone to authorize.net and found that they have real low rates. is it smarter to connect to an actual online merchant account system, or just manually record the credit card numbers and info and dial them into my already exsiting stores credit card terminal? and i would like to hear what some of you are using for there payment gateway, and what works the best for you. if i choose to go with authorize.net will the client ever know that we are going through authorize.net? is there something that gives it away that we are using authorize.net? thanks for your help guys and girls. ill catch you on the flip side
niko18
It does not connect to anyone... you can run it through your stores machine like i do. But the one thing i need to know is how to get more fields for more info from the consumer. I need their 3 digit code on the back of their cards also, how do i create a field for that? has anyone else? BTW... I think its a great contribution!
