Hello

i'm actually new to Oscommerce and i have a little problem. I've installed the oscommerce software and I get constantly the following message.

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /customers/audiomania.se/audiomania.se/httpd.www/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file

Can someone tell me how do i change this configuration? I know that i have to do the following:

Reset the permissions on catalog/includes/configure.php to 644 (if you are still getting the warning message at the top of the page after setting this configure.php files to 644 then set the catalog/includes/configure.php file to 444 which is read only - this happens on some servers that have been updated for security reasons).

How do i do this? I dont have that much knowledge of php yet. Can someone give me an example on how they do it, it would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Luis Vidal

it depends to your FTP-Tool.

You have to change the CHMOD of the files on the server.

777 means everybody has the right to write/read and execute the file.

Normally you ?should make a right click?at the file...while using your ftp-tool.

try SmartFTP
