I appreciate your help very much, but it was the fact that I had been posting and not geting any replies that made me ask that question.... i.e., wondering where ELSE I could go. It was a very simple question too..... kinda strange. Thanks though.

i found it easiest to actually install everything, and do a case by case search on the forums to answer my questions.. that way i wasn't overloaded with info :)

if you can't find it in search, it's easy to make a post and ask for help. there's a lot of very helpful people here

Dear Sir,

Hey, I downloaded the file you recommended, and its a heap of .gifs and html files... is there some master file which links to all of this stuff, or an "install" application file? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

You never know who is reading at any given time and whether they feel like answering. So many questions have been asked so many times simply because osC is a whole new thing for most beginners. How many folks come here who already know mysql and php before they download osC? not many I'd bet. hey, read my first blog entry for some quick pointers.

What people seem to fail to realize for some bizzare reason is that if you can't get help, the software is garbage and useful to no one but developers, and this is the conclusion I am comming to, and am having the same experience, (only worse) with Turbo Cash, another open source "solution". I think open source is a great idea if you are a bit-head computer geek, but for your average person, I think its trash.

Thanks for your well rehearsed comments... however since opensource software is used by millions of people in the world I would suspect that the issue here is PEBKAC rather than an issue with opensource itself
