Hi Folks,

I am currently comparing Act**ic and osCommerce for a specific application I would appreciate comments from the osCommerce community on their app:

1) For every widget, the ability to define a primary and secondary supplier together with their stock code.

2) Using the above information to receive stock price updates electronically from suppliers and to apply price updates to the widgets automatically.

3) Back-end processing - the ability to run off end-of day order lists to send electronically to our suppliers based on what our customers have ordered - we don't want to have to pull down all our orders and then re-key them into our suppliers' systems.

4) We have a lot of items that come in different pack sizes: ie: Widget A: 1-off, 10-pack, 50-pack, 100-pack etc. Do we have to put all these in using the 'products attributes' menu option or is there any easier way to do this when adding the item itself to the catalog? This seems to be the worse feature we will have to deal with as there seems to be no way to easily specify quantity price breaks with a sliding scale of quantity discounts apart from doign each one manually??

4) Loyalty discounts for repeat shoppers?

5) Some of the products require a signed order so we'd need the checkout process to get to a point where the customer has confirmed their order and they then need to print out a copy to have it signed and sent to us - how easy to integrate this type of feature?

So far both Act**ic and osCommerce do most of what we want - in fact I think osCommerce is a little ahead! I appreciate we can enlist the help of developers to pretty much do what we want, but it's easier (and cheaper!) to start off with something closer to the finished product.

If you spare the time to answer some or all of these questions I'd be very grateful.

Thanks
