How do I change that to say SHIPPED? Additionally, in the drop-down box ... will that change as well? If not, how do I go about changing that wording as well. Thanx in advanced ... GraphicsGuy Posted November 11, 2005 Share Posted November 11, 2005 I've always felt this was something that belonged in "Configuration" instead of "Localization" but that is where it is found. Admin > Localization > Orders Status From there you can add/edit/delete status levels. But do so carefully, especially if you have a third party payment system (i.e. PayPal). I have read of people messing up their admin order listings and payment modules by changing the status that their payment module is set up to change the order to after payment is made. That said, changing the "Delivered" status to "Shipping" shouldn't have any impact on payment modules since they are not usually set to return that status level. In our store, I added several status levels to accomodate our process. For example, I added "Holding Pending Receipt of Payment" to contain orders where we are waiting on a mailed check or money order. And "Holding Pending Customer Input" to contain orders where we had to contact the customer needed to proceed with the order. If you make changes, it is wise to first back up your database. Then after making the changes, do some test transactions to make sure everything is working right. If it doesn't work and you can't make it work, at least it is easy to roll back to the last known working configuration. Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database. Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1. I had that same problem when I first started my store... delivered always confused the heck out of my customers... they would say "Its not delivered yet???" lol I didnt know you can add more though, thats awesome I will have to try that :) vr, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
