ginacresse
:( Help, please. I have just set up an osCommerce shopping cart on my client's website (hosted by LunarPages). The payment processing is done only through PayPal (both PayPal account holders and credit card users accepted). When I tested with my PayPal account, everything worked fine, but she has a customer who ordered with a credit card and the only evidence at all is that the money showed up in my client's PayPal account. No order shows up on osCommerce and there was no e-mail notification to my client. Who can I get help from? Is this a LunarPages issue? Or osCommerce? Please help. I don't know what to tell my client when she finds money in her PayPal account and doesn't know who to ship books to. mediareaction
Hi, I'm having the excact same problem... Hopefully someone is aware of this! I'm browsing the forums, if I come up with anything I will let you know. http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=179030 Looks like that might be the solution, I'm going to give it a try! ginacresse
David, What caused this was a customer who didn't return to my website after completing the order. I had to go through a procedure of installing the contribution "PayPal IPN" (instant payment notification) which stores the order before leaving osCommerce. Hope this helps. ginacresse
Yes, but I wish I'd read your post first, because the simple step of supplying a returning URL in PayPal would have been so much simpler. If I had to do it over again, I'd go the easy route.
