What we want to do: start a small virtual mall that has one shopping cart. At first, we thought to make a simple custom upload web page that allowed our pals to enter their product info into a SQL database, then somehow we'd 1) connect that database with OSC - or 2) simply make a custom interface to OSC's database. Has anyone done 1) or 2)? Then I realized, this might already have been accomplished. There seem to be two contributions for OSC - Virtual Mall and Multi-Store - but 3) can the shopping cart be made to work across all stores and not just in the individual areas as happens in OSC? Or, 4) is there another solution out there somewhere? Positive answers to 3) and 4) would be good to hear. Of course, we'd like to be able to 5) set the Admin levels for each shop according to needs, so that our friends can upload their goods themselves. Any suggestions?
