Guest
I have hired two different developers to build and finish building a shopping cart using OS Commerce and neither one has worked out very well. I do not know if this is because they do not know what they are doing or if what needs to be done is actually that difficult. :( We have 90% of the website built and only have a few remaining things to be done. The most important of these is the drop-down menus. The website itself can be seen at www.iluvwigs.com. The site is going to be selling wigs online. There are about 1,520 products on the site from 20 different manufacturers. The problem I am having is installing the drop-down menus for the color selection of these products. Unfortunately the products are all available in a different selection of colors and the drop-down menus for almost each product will be different. On average, each product will have about 20 different colors to choose from. The colors are currently listed in the product descriptions but they are not placed in a way that allows the consumer to select the color they wish to purchase to add into thte shopping cart. The way the color attributes are currently set up by the developers would require that each product's drop down menu is assembled by adding 1 color at a time for each product. That would mean about 30,000 separate entries to finish. THERE HAS TO BE AN EASIER WAY TO DO THIS!!!!!!! If you have encountered a similar problem or have worked on a site with something similar please let me know how you resolved this. I need to deliver this site to my clients and am tired of working with incompitent developers who have not finished what they have been paid to do. I am willing to listen to proposals for finishing this project and can be reached by email at [email protected]. Thank you! Leon
