dtblkg35
I have a websites that is running OS Commerce that have a static IP address and SSL Cert installed. The The other day after using some tools to check back links, page rank, and keyword ranking I discovered what could be a potential problem in my sites optimization. The URL mysite.com has ?0? back links ?0? page rank but has 591 pages in the URL. The URL www.mysite.com has 50 back links a page rank of 3 but only 4 pages in the URL. This discovery has lead me to conclude that when I installed OS Commerce (using Fantastico from Cpanel) and choose www.mysite.com for the SSL causes all of my navigational links the exclude the ?www? part in the url creating confusion for search engines. To fix the problem for the URL?s I went to the /includes/configure.php file and changed ?define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.mysite.com')? and also changed ?define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.mysite.com');? to include the ?www?. I have gone thru the site and made a test purchase and everything works fine now. Is there anything else that I need to do? Is this the right way to get the ?www? to show in the urls?
