I installed the Soldout (But Displayed) contribution

When a customer clicks to view all items in a particular category, I'd like those items which are out of stock to read 'Sold Out' on that screen.

I installed the Soldout (But Displayed) contrib thinking that would do it, but, no.

It changes the 'Add To Cart' button when viewing a particular item to a non-clickable button that reads 'Sold Out' which is fine...they can't add the item to their cart.

But, I'd like something similar on the category pages, before they ever click to view a particular item.

At this point, the best I can do is turn off the Buy It Now buttons in Admin and turn on the Quantity display but, that generates a bunch of numbers down the right side of the category column. One of this, zero of that, etc. I miss my little Buy It Now buttons, lol.

Any way to have those Buy It Now buttons automatically replaced with Sold Out buttons when stock drops to zero? Like the non-clickable Sold Out button that comes with the contrib? They can still view the item but there's no way to put it in the shopping cart, not from the Category page nor when viewing the individual item description page?

I uninstalled the Soldout contrib and went with the Stock Status In Product Listing v1.22 contrib.

Puts the words 'in stock' or 'out of stock' next to my items, rather than an ugly, running list of quantity numbers and prevents the out of stock item from being placed in the shopping cart, either from the category page or when viewing the actual item listing. I like it!

Now, if anyone can point me to a thread that discusses how to prevent a customer from changing the default quantity of 1 in the shopping cart to anything higher, please do! Most of what I sell is unique and one-of-a-kind. Thanks!
